Constructed with durable polycarbonate, this cover is lockable and easy to install, measuring 5-1/4" deep and including a gasket and mounting hardware. Its vertical orientation provides up to 458 possible configurations, accommodating GFCI, Duplex, Switch, or Round outlets in sizes ranging from 1-1/4" to 2-1/8".
The cover's design complies with the NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE 2014 EDITION 406.9 Receptacles in Damp or Wet Locations (B) Wet Locations. (1) Receptacles of 15 and 20 Amperes in a Wet Location, which states that 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt receptacles installed in a wet location shall have an enclosure that is weatherproof whether or not the attachment plug cap is inserted. The outlet box hood installed for this purpose is listed and identified as "extra-duty." Additionally, all 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt non-locking-type receptacles shall be listed weather-resistant type.
The Sealproof Deep 2-Gang In Use Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Cover is designed to provide ample space for 12 AWG or heavier cable, with a non-metallic clear frost finish. Its patented multi-configuration design allows for up to 45 different configurations, including GFCI, Duplex, Switch, or Round options. The cover is UL Extra Duty Compliant, NEC Compliant, and has a UL File No. E362580.
This weatherproof outlet cover is oriented vertically, is lockable, and includes a gasket and mounting hardware. However, the outlet box, lock, and receptacle are not included with the purchase. The deep design of this cover ensures that it meets the requirements of the National Electrical Code for wet locations, providing a reliable and weatherproof solution for outdoor or damp environments.
